The upbeat song gives a detailed explanation of “one country, two systems,” the policy that allows Hong Kong and Macau, China’s special administrative regions (SARs), to retain their capitalist economic and political systems.

In the video, the song clarifies Hong Kong’s rights as one of China’s SARs. “China has granted rights to Hong Kong like a big box of gifts, including administrative power, legislative power, independent jurisdiction, and the right of final adjudication.”

"One country" maintains the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of China, while "two systems" means that some regions may practice capitalism under central government authorization, while the mainland practices socialism. The "one country" is the premise and basis of the "two systems".

“一国”指保持中国主权、统一和领土完整，“两制”指一些地区在中央政府授权的情况下可以实行资本主义制度，大陆实行社会主义制度。“一国”是“两制”的前提和基础。

The Basic Law stipulates that the Hong Kong SAR is a local administrative region under the central government. Its high degree of autonomy with "Hong Kong people governing Hong Kong" stems from central government authorization. Under this principle, the chief executive and major officials of the Hong Kong SAR should be appointed by the central government.

《基本法》规定，香港特别行政区是隶属于中央政府的地方行政区域，经中央政府授权享有“港人治港”的高度自治权。据此原则，香港特别行政区的首席长官和主要官员应由中央政府任命。

According to the annual government work report in 2017, China will draw up a plan for the development of a city cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, give full play to the distinctive strengths of Hong Kong and Macao, and elevate their positions and roles in the country's economic development and opening up.

根据2017年政府工作报告，中国将起草制定粤港澳大湾区城市群的发展规划，充分发挥香港和澳门的独特优势，提升它们在国家经济发展和对外开放中的地位与作用。

The Greater Bay Area will include the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, and nine cities in south China's Guangdong Province, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Foshan, Zhaoqing and Jiangmen. Last year, the combined GDP of 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area reached $1.4 trillion. The area - which has less than 0.6 percent of China's land and about 5 percent of the population - contributed about 12 percent to the national economy.

Regional cooperation and integration has been underway for years in the bay area. The high-profile move includes the 55-kilometer-long Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, a six-year megaproject slated to be completed by the end of year, which will reduce the journey time between Hong Kong and the two other cities to 30 minutes from more than three hours.

多年来粤港澳大湾区的区域合作与融合从未止步，备受瞩目，其中包括全长55公里的港珠澳大桥。这项历时6年的超级工程计划于今年年底竣工，届时香港与其他两地之间的行程将由3个多小时缩短到30分钟。

The initiative is a landmark trading link program allowing investors to trade on both bourses. It has been seen as a significant move toward a more open capital market in the Chinese mainland.

The much-anticipated launch is expected to see billions of dollars in daily cross-border transactions.

The Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, the second link between the mainland and Hong Kong bourses, was launched on Monday.

Ceremonies were held simultaneously at Hong Kong and Shenzhen bourses via video link as Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) Chairman Chow Chung-kong and Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying jointly beat a gong to mark the launch.

当日，香港和深圳交易所通过视频连线，同时举行“深港通”开通仪式，香港交易所主席周松岗与香港特区行政长官梁振英共同鸣锣开市，标志着“深港通”正式启动。

It is the second link of its kind to boost opening up of the mainland's capital market after a similar link between the Shanghai and Hong Kong bourses was launched in 2014.

The new scheme is aimed at giving global investors access to stocks in the tech-heavy Shenzhen market via Hong Kong bourse. A total of 417 stocks on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong are eligible for trading, and 881 stocks are eligible on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

China Tuesday announced the approval of a bond connect program between the mainland and Hong Kong markets in the latest effort to support the financial hub and accelerate the country's opening up progress.

2017年5月16日，中方公布了开展香港与内地市场债券互通的计划，以支持香港金融中心的发展，加速中国开放的步伐。

Investors on both sides will be able to trade bonds on each other's markets, according to a joint statement from the People's Bank of China and Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Northbound trade will be launched first, without caps on investment volume.

据中国人民银行与香港金融管理局联合声明，两地投资者将可直接进入对方股市进行债券交易。初期先开通“北向通”，没有投资额度限制。

The program marked another major move from the central government to support Hong Kong's development and grant overseas capital wider access to the mainland's financial sector.
